It works less well as a cold traffic play. These are 24 to 299 USD products bought by people who have decided the format is worth trying, and that decision usually comes from a person rather than a banner.
Half the price is a large share for a digital product, and it is set there deliberately. We would rather pay properly for a recommendation that works than run ads at strangers.
