What if I feel bad when listening to subliminals?

Stop the audio and take it seriously. Feeling bad is rare, but it does happen, and the right move is always to pause first and figure out the cause second.

The things people report are nightmares, headaches, drowsiness or anxiety. None of that is something you should push through.

Three likely reasons

You might simply be new to subliminals. A lot of people run them too long or too loud in the first week. Cut back to one short session a day and see what happens.

Something might be wrong with the audio itself. Not every file out there is made carefully. If you have no idea what is buried under the music, you have no way of knowing whether it is even positive. That is why every product page lists sample affirmations from that program before you buy.

Or it is emotional cleansing. When old material comes up, it can feel uncomfortable for a while, and that is part of the change you are going through. Only you can tell which of these fits.

If sitting still is the problem, move

Some people feel worse because they are lying around doing nothing for an hour. Put the audio on a phone and live your day with it.

  • Exercise while listening
  • Eat healthy foods
  • Work on a plan to accomplish the goals that got you started with subliminal affirmations in the first place

The audio works better this way anyway, because you are backing it up with real action instead of waiting for it to do the job alone.

What to check next

Volume is the first thing to look at. We recommend 10 to 50 percent, and headaches often come from running a track far above that for hours. Drop it to a level where the music sits quietly in the background.

If you were running several programs at once, go down to one. Stacking topics is a common cause of feeling scattered. Give a single program 2 to 4 weeks before you add anything else.

Nightmares usually respond to moving your session out of the night. Listen during the day for a week and see whether they settle.

If it does not settle

Stop and write to us. We would rather hear from you than have you sit with something that feels wrong, and you have 90 days to get your money back on any program.

Subliminals are not a treatment for a medical or mental health condition. If you are struggling with something serious, please talk to a doctor or therapist about it rather than looking for an audio track to handle it.
